FTTP / FTTH Reinstatement Supervisor

The FTTP / FTTH Reinstatement Supervisor report into the project manager and is responsible for ensuring that all reinstatements are carried out in accordance with current regulations, legislation, working practices and in line with all necessary Health and Safety requirements and to the necessary quality.

Key Tasks

• Carrying out quality audits
• Ensuring surface reinstatement is carried out to required specification for all backfill, sub base and top layers
• Liaison with local authority roads department and key stake holders
• Requests documentation needed for the proper execution of the work
• Assures the availability of resources from the subcontractors needed to fulfil the planned and agreed milestones, and that all resources have the required level of accreditation/qualifications
• Completes onsite quality, H&S and risk assessments. Ability to identify any issues and take necessary corrective actions
• Daily supervision of installation / build progress according to agreed milestones, assuring the required quality in the deployment by the appointed subcontractors
• Knowledge of the last version of technical documentation and facilitate this to subcontractors in order to monitor compliance of the deployment
• Provide technical solutions on issues identified during the rollout phase. Has the ability to provide solutions to keep program on track with agreed milestones
• Ensure compliance with all company-controlled documents, including all method statements and procedures
• Produce daily reports as required by the project manager

Qualifications and Experience

• Valid NRSWA Supervisor qualification
• Full UK driving license and own transportation
• SSSTS/SMSTS Qualification desirable
• Reinstatement experience in similar FTTH or equivalent projects.
• In depth knowledge of HAUC specification
• Demonstrates initiative with regards to Problem Solving
• Confident and natural communicator with an inspiring quality
• A detailed understanding of method statements and risk assessments
• Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
