Nokia deployed its 1000th headend switch for OR in Aberdeen, Scotland

In April with support From Iris UK Nokia reached the milestone of the 1000th install of the L2s headend 7360 FX-16 ISAM headend equipment under a high-profile customers FTTP project rollout. The project is the embodiment of Nokia’s “one team” spirit with the Nokia UK project team support with remote commissioning by Nokia teams from across Europe.

The Iris team providing field installation expertise and project management and on-time deliveries from the Supply chain organisation. The milestone was achieved against the backdrop of COVID 19 and all the complexities of component shortages, changing priorities and other challenges the pandemic released. Despite these, the team successfully deployed 99% of the planed nodes for the year leading to exceptional feedback from Nokia’s end client at both Operational and Executive levels.
