The ESG strategy comprises of five fundamental pillars, one of which emphasises Nokia’s pledge to proactively and ethically steer its business practices, both within the organisation and throughout its value chain. In this regard, Nokia plans to collaborate with its customers and suppliers to address systemic issues related to environmental sustainability, ethical use of technology, responsible implementation of AI, human rights, and working conditions.

Erica Salmon Byrne, CEO of Ethisphere, said:

“Ethics matters. Organisations that commit to business integrity through robust programs and practices not only elevate standards and expectations for all, but also have better long-term performance. We continue to be inspired by the World’s Most Ethical Companies honourees and their dedication to making real impact for their stakeholders and displaying exemplary values-based leadership. Congratulations to Nokia for earning a place in the World’s Most Ethical Companies community.”
